Secret Spice was specifically created 15 years ago for Wild Caught Salmon, one of my most popular Catering Menu Selections. This was BEFORE 'Wild Caught' was such an important issue, so mandated by world-conscious folks such as ourselves. I bought and used and grew lots of local, organic ingredients long before it was trendy.
A few weeks ago on Social Media I was lucky enough to discover Wild Alaskan Company, a family owned and operated small business. Their Sockeye Salmon are harvested mainly in the pristine waters of Bristol Bay, Alaska. They sell some of the best Salmon I have ever had. Our Spice gets rave reviews on Salmon, and since I was searching for like-minded businesses it seemed like the perfect fit.
The owner and I discussed how food is going full circle, from hunter-gatherer to processed back to Wild Caught, Foraged, Organic. Simple, nutritious real food. Good for the body & the mind. While who knows if business relationships are sustainable, we can each do our part to help the sustainability of the planet.

Secret Spice Salmon with Mango Salsa
2-6oz Wild Caught Salmon
1 On-The-Go packet, or 1-2tsp Secret Spice Remedy, to taste--Be bold! Use the Spice as a Rub, 30 minutes to two hours prior, let Salmon come to room temperature.
Bake, Grill or Saute’ to desired doneness!-bake10 minutes @375.
One Ripe Mango, peeled, cored, chopped
Green Onion, chopped, white and green
Juice of one small lime
1/2 Anaheim Chile Pepper or similar, seeds removed, for more spice, substitute jalapeño, chopped fine
1/2 c Fresh Cilantro, chopped
1t Sea Salt, or to taste
Toss ingredients, add extra chile if desired
Serve on the side of Secret Spice Salmon; savor this amazing flavor combination! Served here with Gluten-free Organic Whole Grains: Red & White Quinoa, Pink Rice, Flax Seed and local farmstand veggies.
